This personal project uses my craft to explores the legacy of Minnie Lue’s, a historic North Richmond venue that shaped Black culture, music, and community. Through motion and graphic design, I wanted to honor a story that deserves to live on visually.
This composition serves as the visual anchor of the project, blending archival imagery with contemporary design to honor Minnie Lue’s history. Every element reflects the music, culture, and community that made the space special.
Each letter in “Minnie Lue’s” was designed as its own visual story. Together, they form a larger narrative about history, resilience, and creativity. Each letter highlights a different moment, voice, or influence tied to the space.
